What is Snicko?
Snicko is a daily cricket puzzle game available on iOS and Android. Each day, a mystery cricketer is selected across four formats. Players have up to seven guesses to identify the player, with each incorrect guess revealing attribute clues to help narrow down the answer.
Whether you follow cricket closely or just know the big names, Snicko is designed to be engaging and rewarding at every level of knowledge.
Formats
A new mystery player is revealed daily across all four formats. Each format has its own independent puzzle.
One Day Internationals. Free daily puzzle, available to all players.
Twenty20 Internationals. Unlocked with Snicko Edge.
Test cricket legends across generations. Unlocked with Snicko Edge.
Indian Premier League stars. Unlocked with Snicko Edge.
How It Works
Type any cricketer's name into the search bar. Each guess reveals seven attributes about the mystery player:
- Country, Role, Batting Hand, Debut Year
- Career Runs, Average or Strike Rate (format-specific)
- Career Wickets
Green means an exact match. Yellow means you are close (within range for numbers, or same region for country). White means no match. Numeric attributes show an up or down arrow to guide your next guess.
You have seven guesses. Use them wisely.
Snicko Edge
- Unlock all four daily format puzzles: ODI, T20I, Tests, and IPL
- Access Archive mode to play past puzzles at any time
- Additional lifelines to help on tough days
Snicko Edge is a one-time in-app purchase available through the App Store and Google Play. No subscription, no recurring charges.
Lifelines
Every player gets lifelines to use when they are stuck. Snicko Edge unlocks additional lifelines beyond the free allocation.
- Inside Edge - reveals one correct attribute
- Outside Edge - eliminates one wrong option
- No Ball - skips a guess without penalty
Leaderboard
Create a free account to track your career strike rate, win streaks, and compete on the global leaderboard. Your rank is based on how efficiently you solve puzzles over time.
Player Data
Snicko features over 845 players spanning ODI, T20I, Test, and IPL cricket - from modern stars to all-time legends. Player data is sourced from publicly available cricket records, including Cricsheet and community datasets. Statistics are provided for entertainment purposes and may not always reflect the most current information.
Our Philosophy
Snicko is intentionally ad-free and lightweight. Costs are kept minimal by design so the focus stays entirely on building something worth playing every day. We believe a great puzzle does not need ads, paywalls, or interruptions.
The Story
Snicko is powered by WeRun Consulting. It started as a game for enthusiasts and casual followers alike: a daily challenge that helps you discover more about the players you love and the legends who shaped the game.
